Emergency Transfers!

This week was a crazy week! More like a crazy weekend but wow! Nothing happened with health or anything like that but Elder Tito was emergency transferred Saturday morning! Friday night we got called by President (which is something that never happens) and he tells us how Saturday morning Elder Tito might be transferred! So we’re like, wow that’s crazy! Then in the morning we have personal study and everything like that, me and Elder Tito are pretty much just waiting for that call to come. Then at 9:30 a.m. one of the assistants call us and say "hey get all your stuff ready we are going to pass by in an hour to pick you up!" so Elder Tito gets all his stuff somehow ready in 20 minutes because we forgot that a lady in our ward, had our clothes because she was washing it. She lives 20 minutes away from us going in a bus so we booked it over to her house, got his clothes, and got back home right when the assistants pulled up! So yeah that was crazy... cause all of a sudden I’m in charge of the area and have a new companion.

Oh and yes thank you for the cake! She made it and it was really good!

[About this transfer being 8 weeks and the mission being extended 2 weeks for this reason,] yeah I’m totally fine with it, but from what I heard my mission is getting extended for 2 weeks so yeah. at least I’m still coming back in July 2017!

Bishop Peterson sent me an email this week too so that was cool!

Thank you, I’ve been studying Spanish and even Portuguese a ton (a little of Portuguese because I don’t want to lose it). I’m trying to be the best missionary I can be everyday especially in these past 2 weeks because I’m trying to lose myself in the work more and more, and that just comes with giving all my time to the Lord. Every free moment I have, I’m studying; while I’m in the bus traveling, I’m studying; right before I got to sleep, I’m studying. It’s about just giving your all to the Lord. I can see the blessings of doing the best I can every day. I can see how my Spanish is getting better, how my teaching is getting better, how my work ethic is growing and growing. It’s great!

With my new companion Elder Fleming, we get along really well! He is awesome! Elder Tito was sad to leave the area because this week if everything goes right we will have a baptism! The baptism of Jesus! Plus our other investigators like the Familia Pacheco and the Familia Rivas are progressing so that’s awesome! Me and Elder Fleming are going to baptize a ton this transfer!

Oh but Elder Dallas Fleming is great! He is from Las Vegas like Elder Kelly (my trainer)! He is super funny and he just, like lays down the law with some people, it’s great! I love it. He just tells it like it is like me, but yeah Elder Fleming is like 6´4 and played American football. He hated it but he played anyway. He has lost like 100 pounds on his mission too from like just drinking water and not eating certain things! He is the district leader, oh and we share our first areas on the mission! He was "born" in Constitucion 1 too!!!!! He has like 14 months on his mission.

Pics 1 to 4 - This Thursday I did divisions with Elder Lopes de Brasil!!!! It was so fun! Elder lopes is awesome, he has like 5 months on the mission and we had a great day full of teaching and laughs! He is from Sao Paulo too so that was sweet!

Esta semana foi uma semana louca! Mais como um fim de semana louco, mas wow! Nada aconteceu com a saúde ou qualquer coisa assim, mas Elder Tito foi transferido de emergência na manhã de sábado! Sexta à noite, recebemos uma chamada do presidente (que é algo que nunca acontece) e ele nos disse que sábado de manhã Elder Tito poderia ser transferido! Então, nós ficamos tipo, wow isso é loucura! Em seguida, na parte da manhã tivemos nosso estudo pessoal e tudo mais, eu e Elder Tito estavamos praticamente apenas esperando por essa chamada. Em seguida, às 9h30 um dos assistentes nos liga e diz "hey deixe todas as suas coisas prontas, vamos passar em uma hora para buscá-lo!" assim Elder Tito arrumou todas as suas coisas de alguma forma em 20 minutos porque esquecemos que uma senhora em nossa ala tinha nossas roupas porque ela estava lavando! E ela mora a 20 minutos de distância de nós de ônibus portanto, voamos para a casa dela, pegamos todas as roupas, e voltamos para casa logo quando os assistentes estavam chegando junto conosco! Então, sim, foi uma loucura ... Porque de repente eu estou no comando da área e tenho um novo companheiro.

Ah, e obrigado sim pelo o bolo! Ela fez isso e estava realmente bom!

[Sobre esta transferência ser de 8 semanas e a missão ser adiada em 2 semanas,] sim, eu estou totalmente bem com isso, mas pelo que eu ouvi minha missão está sendo estendida por 2 semanas e sim. pelo menos eu ainda vou voltar em julho 2017!

Bispo Peterson me enviou um e-mail esta semana também, então isso foi legal!

Obrigado, eu estive estudando espanhol e até mesmo português uma tonelada (um pouco de Português, porque eu não quero perdê-lo). Eu estou tentando ser o melhor missionário que posso ser todos os dias, especialmente nestas últimas 2 semanas porque eu estou tentando mergulhar no trabalho cada vez mais, e isso só vem se eu der todo o meu tempo para o Senhor. Todos os momentos livres que tenho, estou a estudar; enquanto eu estou na viagem de ônibus, eu estou estudando; logo antes de eu chegar para dormir, eu estou estudando. Trata-se de apenas dar o seu tudo ao Senhor. Eu posso ver as bênçãos de fazer o melhor que posso a cada dia. Eu posso ver como meu espanhol está melhorando, como o meu ensino está cada vez melhor, como a minha ética de trabalho está crescendo e crescendo. É ótimo!

Com o meu novo companheiro Elder Fleming, nos damos muito bem! Ele é incrível! Elder Tito estava triste por deixar a área porque esta semana se tudo der certo, teremos um batismo! O batismo de Jesus! Além disso, nossos outros investigadores, como a Família Pacheco e a Familia Rivas estão progredindo e isso é incrível! Eu e Elder Fleming estaremos batizando uma tonelada esta transferência!

Oh, mas Elder Fleming é ótimo! Ele é de Las Vegas como Elder Kelly (meu treinador)! Ele é super engraçado e ele apenas manda a lei com algumas pessoas, isso é ótimo! Eu amo isso. Ele só diz como as coisas realmente são, ou seja, ele é como eu! Mas sim Elder Fleming é tipo 1.90m de altura e jogou futebol americano. Ele odiava, mas ele jogou de qualquer maneira. Ele perdeu tipo 50 Kilos em sua missão também tomando apenas água potável e não comendo certas coisas! Ele é o líder do distrito, oh e nós compartilhamos nossas primeiras áreas na missão! Ele "nasceu" em Constitucion 1 tambem!!!!! Ele tem quase 14 meses em sua missão.
