It's a new week!

Hey, it’s a new week!

This week was actually a really good week. We got lots of things done and we have more and more people progressing, so that’s great! 

For some reason, Elder Fleming and I are having sleeping problems where we can’t sleep but whenever that happens we just talk all night until one of us fall asleep. Yes, we are more tired but I can see how we actually have a better relationship now and we teach and work better, but don’t worry, we are still sleeping! A couple days we just got home and we were exhausted so we just went straight to bed.

My first week in this new transfer was great like I said, but we want it to be like that the whole transfer. Other than waking up exercising and studying on time we want to do more. This week we were literally talking to everyone. What I like about us two is that we don’t have fear to work alone, so while I’m talking to this reference we have in this one house, my companion trusts me and he goes and talks with his neighbor. and I do the same with him, so we are never together, which is really nice, because then I have everything under control and we are contacting twice the amount of people. I did do that with some other companions but with Elder Fleming we just do it more so it’s super nice. We are just taking advantage of all the time we have.

I’m planning on keeping my worst pants, worst white shirt, and my worst shoes too. also sometime this transfer we are going to go to a place that’s called "once" it’s like a huge “feira” where everything is cheap and really good, so I’m going to go there and buy a lot of stuff to take home. Oh and I’m also planning on bringing home books I use to study and things like that, like I just finished a Spanish Book of Mormon where I colored in every word that relates to God or Jesus. and I underlined whenever any of them talk, so that’s pretty sweet and I’m going to take that home.

One miracle that happened this week would be that we felt like passing for a “menos ativa” member this week, and when we got there she was like "who sent you" and we said "well... God sent us here" and she said, "you know what, I actually believe you, because a couple days ago I was thinking about how we have to baptize our son..." yeah that was awesome! Her son’s name is Mateo and he is like 10 years old. That was a huge miracle for me because when I started in the area she didn’t even want to talk to us, but now we are teaching her son, so that’s fantastic!

We are now working with a lot of people. We are working with Santiago Pacheco, Jesus (number 2, he is another guy named Jesus), Mateo Rojas, Gonzalo y Jessica (a couple), Ezequiel, Martin Cordoba, and Jeanette Cordoba. We are being blessed right now and I just want to thank everyone for their prayers, and please keep praying for us and our investigators.

We are going to the office today to pick it up our mail and packages.

I think my grandpa Ayres is amazing. Oh something that I just remembered is that I’m trying to do this family tree pamphlet we have and if you could send me (in a letter) pictures of everyone, like back to like the great grandparents of grandma. If you could get pictures of their faces that would be better, because there is a section for every person. and like a cool story from them or something too.

I’m losing myself in the work :) and I would appreciate if you can keep praying for me...

I think this quote below is awesome, because it’s true, we learn from everything, and I’m even learning stuff from being here with the Argentines. ;)

Job, who was no stranger to affliction, said in the time of his trials: “[God] knoweth the way that I take: when he hath tried me, I shall come forth as gold.” (Job 23:10.)  In the despair of his own personal suffering, Joseph Smith was reminded that suffering can make saints of mortal men when they are “willing to submit to all things which the Lord seeth fit to inflict upon [them], even as a child doth submit to his father.” (Mosiah 3:19.) Sometime in the eternities to come, we will see that our trials were calculated to cause us to turn to our Heavenly Father for strength and support. Any affliction or suffering we are called upon to bear may be directed to give us experience, refinement, and perfection." -

Ei, é uma nova semana!

Esta semana foi realmente uma boa semana. Fizemos muitas coisas e temos mais e mais pessoas a progredir, então isso é ótimo!

Por alguma razão, Elder Fleming e eu estamos tendo problemas para dormir e muitas noites não podemos dormir, mas sempre que isso acontece ficamos conversando toda a noite, até que um de nós caia no sono. Sim, estamos mais cansados, mas eu posso ver como nós realmente temos um relacionamento melhor agora e nós ensinamos e trabalhamos melhor juntos, mas não se preocupe, ainda estamos dormindo! Alguns dias dessa semana nós chegamos em casa e estávamos exaustos por isso só fomos direto para a cama.

Minha primeira semana nesta nova transferência foi ótima, mas queremos que seja assim toda a transferência. Mais do que acordar na hora certa, fazermos exercícios e estudar individualmente e em dupla, queremos fazer mais. Esta semana nós literalmente falamos com todo mundo. O que eu gosto sobre nós dois é que não temos medo de trabalhar sozinhos, por isso, enquanto estou falando com esta referência que temos nesta casa, meu companheiro confia em mim e ele vai e fala com seu vizinho. e eu faço o mesmo com ele, então estamos menos juntos, o que é muito bom, porque então eu tenho tudo sob controle e estamos a entrar em contato com o dobro da quantidade de pessoas. Eu fiz isso com alguns outros companheiros, mas com Elder Fleming nós o fazemos mais por isso é super agradável. Estamos apenas aproveitando todo o tempo que temos.

Sobre guardar um par de sapatos velhos como lembranca, estou pensando em manter uma das minhas piores calças, pior camisa branca, e os meus piores sapatos também. Também em algum momento desta transferência iremos nesse lugar que é chamado de "Era uma vez" é como uma enorme "feira" onde tudo é barato e realmente bom, então eu estou planejando ir lá e comprar um monte de coisas para levar para casa. Ah, e eu também estou pensando em trazer os livros que eu uso para estudar e coisas assim pra casa, como por exemplo eu terminei um Livro de Mórmon em espanhol onde eu colori cada palavra que diz respeito a Deus ou Jesus, e eu sublinhei sempre que qualquer um deles fala, então isso é muito legal e eu vou levar isso para casa.

Um milagre que aconteceu esta semana foi quando nós sentimos que deveriamos passar na casa de uma membro "menos Ativa" esta semana, e quando chegamos lá, ela nos disse algo como "Quem lhe enviou" e eu disse: "bem ... Deus nos enviou aqui" e ela disse, "Você sabe o quê? Eu realmente acredito em você, porque um par de dias atrás, eu estava pensando sobre como nós temos que batizar nosso filho ..." Sim, isso foi incrível! O nome do filho é Mateo e ele tem uns 10 anos de idade. Isso foi um grande milagre para mim, porque quando eu comecei na área ela não queria nem falar com a gente, mas agora estamos ensinando seu filho, de modo que é fantástico!

Estamos agora a trabalhar com um grande número de pessoas. Estamos trabalhando com Santiago Pacheco, Jesus (número 2, ele é outro cara chamado Jesus), Mateo Rojas, Gonzalo y Jessica (um casal), Ezequiel, Martin Cordoba, e Jeanette Cordoba. Estamos sendo abençoados agora e eu só quero agradecer a todos por suas orações, e por favor, continuem orando por nós e nossos investigadores.

Ao sair daqui, estaremos indo ao escritório hoje para buscar nossas cartas e pacotes.

Eu acho que meu avô Ayres é incrível. Oh algo que acabei de me lembrar é que eu estou fazendo este panfleto da árvore de família que temos e vou colocar fotos de todos, mesmo dos bisavós da avó. Se você pode obter fotos de seus rostos que seria melhor, porque há uma seção para cada pessoa. e alguma uma história legal com eles ou algo assim também.

Estou me aprofundando no trabalho missionario :) e eu apreciaria se vocês pudessem se manter orando por mim...

Eu acho que esta citação abaixo é incrível, porque é verdade, aprendemos com tudo, e eu estou até aprendendo coisas de estar aqui com os argentinos. ;)

"Nós aprendemos obediência, como fez o Salvador, pelas vezes que sofremos.
