Tiring week

This week was a great and a tiring week! I hope you can’t see that from my pictures this week but I’m super tired! Physically and spiritually! Tons of great experiences happened this week so I’m drained! jajaja Don’t worry about my health because I feel better, my stomach is still a little mas o menos but we are good. Me and Elder Scarber are doing great here in the area too. He is starting to figure out what to do now so everything is running smoother, which makes everything easier for me! jaja

Something I’ve loved about training is that I’m really starting to see what I lack it. Its helping me develop my Christlike attributes of patience, diligence, and humildad. I’m grateful for this experience! I can see how I’m growing and I’m glad that I’m growing into the person the Lord and I want me to become.

We had a great and a bad week with investigators, because we found great people but a couple of them couldn’t keep progressing! The most challenging one was this woman named Lucia that we found on Wednesday. She accepted to be baptized and everything but then a couple days later she broke down during a lesson about how she doesn’t feel like she is important to anyone. We testified to her that she is loved especially by our Heavenly Father and those words really helped comfort her. The only thing is that we couldn’t find her on Saturday or Sunday so we have no idea what happened! We are praying for her because she was a really great person just looking for the truth... I hope we can find her soon!

We are also working with Alma, Martin, Alicia, Veronica, and a couple others. Thank you so much for all your prayers! I would love to ask you guys to pray for the members of the church here in Jose C Paz and also in Argentina! It’s something we are starting to do and it’s helping us out a lot! Thanks so much!

This week I want to share another scripture from the bible too, just because I love the bible! jaja I would love to talk about Romans 8:18 it says:

“For I reckon that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which shall be revealed in us.”

Now, I’m not saying I’m suffering! jajaja I just really like this scripture, because nothing we go through in this life can be compared to the glory we can receive in the life to come. I’ve been thinking about this theme a lot this week and the way we can receive this great gift is by keeping the higher law, obedience. Perfect obedience to all the commandments and the teachings of Jesus  is going to help us inherit that eternal life! I know that if we do our best we will be blessed! I have seen so many blessings in my life from being here on the mission and it’s great to think that I can receive all of them and more with my family in the eternities.

I know this is true, I know this work is true. I love the Church, and I know that Jesus lives!

Pics 1 to 3 - Fotos de yo con Elder Scarber in the pension! The second picture is of this fire we had last week in a family home evening! The last one is of us doing daily planning at night time! I was on the phone so I decided to take a foto!

Pics 4 to 6 - Alright!! So this last Sunday, Elder Merma came to visit our ward!!! My first transfer in the mission was his last transfer, I was in Constitucion 1 and he was in Constitucion 2. We became great friends and he came to visit Jose C Paz because it was one of his areas!! I’m so happy I got to see him and talk to him about everything! It was a great experience! :D

Pics 7 and 8 - We made an awesome breakfast the other day with some leftover noodles from a lunch and it was super good! The other is a member named Ivan who I did divisions with this week! He is from another Ward but he helped us out! It was great!

Semana cansativa!

Esta semana foi uma grande semana e também cansativa! Eu espero que você não veja isso em minhas fotos nesta semana, mas eu estou super cansado! Física e espiritualmente! Toneladas de grandes experiências aconteceram esta semana por isso estou esgotado! jajaja Não se preocupe com a minha saúde, porque eu me sinto melhor, meu estômago ainda está um pouco mas o menos, mas estamos bem. Eu e Elder Scarber estamos indo muito bem aqui na área também. Ele está começando a descobrir o que fazer agora então tudo está funcionando mais suave, o que torna tudo mais fácil para mim! jaja

Algo que eu amei sobre treinar um novo Elder é que eu realmente estou começando a ver o que eu ainda preciso fazer. Isto tem me ajudado a desenvolver minhas qualidades cristãs de paciência, diligência e humildade. Eu sou grato por esta experiência! Eu posso ver como eu estou crescendo e eu estou contente que eu estou me tornando a pessoa que o Senhor e eu queremos que eu me torne.

A semana foi boa e ruim ao mesmo tempo com os investigadores, porque encontramos grandes pessoas, mas alguns deles não puderam continuar a progredir! O mais desafiador foi essa mulher chamada Lucia que encontramos na quarta-feira. Ela aceitou ser batizada e tudo, mas, em seguida, um par de dias depois, ela desabou a chorar durante uma aula sobre como ela não se sente importante para ninguém. Nós prestamos nosso testemunho a ela de que ela é amada especialmente por nosso Pai Celestial e essas palavras realmente ajudaram a confortá-la. A única coisa é que não pudemos encontrá-la no sábado ou domingo por isso não temos idéia do que aconteceu! Estamos orando por ela, porque ela era uma pessoa realmente sincera que está procurando a verdade ... Espero que possamos encontrá-la em breve!

Estamos também a trabalhar com Alma, Martin, Alicia, Veronica, e alguns outros. Muito obrigado por todas as suas orações! Eu gostaria de pedir a vocês para orar pelos membros da igreja aqui em Jose C Paz, e também na Argentina! É algo que estamos começando a fazer e está nos ajudando muito! Muito obrigado!

Esta semana eu quero compartilhar outra escritura da Bíblia também, só porque eu amo a Bíblia! jaja eu gostaria de falar sobre Romanos 8:18 que diz:

"Pois tenho para mim que os sofrimentos do tempo presente não são dignos de ser comparados com a glória a ser revelada em nós."

Agora, eu não estou dizendo que eu estou sofrendo! jajaja Eu realmente gosto desta escritura, porque nada que passamos nesta vida pode ser comparado com a glória que podemos receber na vida futura. Eu estive pensando sobre este tema muito esta semana e a forma como podemos receber esse grande dom é manter a lei superior, a obediência. Perfeita obediência a todos os mandamentos e os ensinamentos de Jesus nos ajudará a herdar a vida eterna! Eu sei que se nós fizermos o nosso melhor seremos abençoados! Tenho visto tantas bênçãos acontecerem em minha vida aqui na missão, e é ótimo para pensar que posso receber todas elas e mais com a minha família na eternidade.

Eu sei que isso é verdade, eu sei que esta obra é verdadeira. Eu amo a Igreja, e eu sei que Jesus vive!

Fotos 4 a 6 - Neste último domingo, o Élder Merma veio visitar nossa ala!!! Nós nos tornamos grandes amigos e ele veio visitar Jose C Paz, porque também foi uma de suas áreas!! Estou tão feliz que pude vê-lo e falar com ele sobre tudo! Foi uma ótima experiência! : D
