Mother's Day Skype call with Elder Ayres

 
Summary of our Skype call with Elder Ayres on 5/14/2017, Mother's Day (Christina writing here):

- Elder Ayres didn't have much time. He let his two new companions talk to their families first. Our son is doing well. We know it's getting cold there right now and he is really tired and exhausted some days, but he is giving his all. He likes to serve in the Villa, because there are a lot of people they can contact. He said Villa Soldati is the area in the mission where he's worked the hardest and talked to the most people so far. He is grateful for the members, investigators, companions, and all the experiences he's had until now. He was super happy that nine investigators showed up in Church today! We are all amazed how time is flying!

- Villa Soldati is a very dangerous area and he has had some really frightening situations that he didn't want to tell us for now, but we are grateful angels are protecting them and keep our prayers going strong. He is very grateful for the place he is living and he enjoys living in five missionaries in one apartment.

- We talked very briefly about school and other plans when he returns home due to approaching dates and deadlines, but he is focused and wants to finish his mission strong and give his best until the very last day. He said he will save these experiences for life and pass on to generations to come. There is some time still until he gets home, then he will start a new chapter in his life.

We are grateful for this amazing missionary that has strengthened his testimony, grown so much, and learned to love the Savior even more!

Resumo da nossa chamada Skype com o Élder Ayres em 5/14/2017, Dia das Mães (Christina escrevendo aqui):

- O Élder Ayres não tinha muito tempo. Ele deixou seus dois novos companheiros conversarem com suas famílias primeiro. Nosso filho está indo bem. Sabemos que está fazendo frio lá agora e ele está realmente cansado e exausto alguns dias, mas ele está trabalhando muito e doando seu tudo. Ele gosta de servir na Villa, porque há um monte de pessoas que podem entrar em contato. Ele disse que a Villa Soldati é a área na missão onde ele trabalhou o mais difícil e falou com mais pessoas até agora do que as areas anteriores. Ele é grato pelos membros, pesquisadores, companheiros e todas as experiências que teve até agora. Ele estava super feliz que nove investigadores apareceram na Igreja hoje! Estamos surpresos como o tempo tem passado depressa!

- Villa Soldati é uma área muito perigosa e ele teve algumas situações realmente assustadoras que ele não queria nos contar agora, mas estamos gratos aos anjos que os protegem e os mantêm seguros, respondendo nossas orações incessantes. Ele é muito grato pelo lugar que ele está vivendo e ele gosta de viver em cinco missionários em um apartamento.

- Nós conversamos muito brevemente sobre a escola e outros planos quando ele voltar para casa devido a datas e prazos próximos, mas ele está focado e quer terminar sua missão forte e dar o seu melhor até o último dia. Ele disse que vai salvar essas experiências para a vida e passar para as gerações vindouras. Há algum tempo ainda até que ele chegue em casa, então ele ira começar um novo capítulo em sua vida.

Somos gratos a este incrível missionário que fortaleceu seu testemunho, cresceu tanto e aprendeu a amar ainda mais o Salvador!
