President Ayre!

Hello!

This was a really cold week! Honestly, it just makes things harder, but it’s not stopping me! We are still waking up on time, we are still working through all this cold so I’m pretty happy! We are working the best we can and we can see how the Lord is blessing us every day. We can see His hand in our work, we just have to keep working the best we can every day! Wooooh!!! (I like motivating myself and other people if you haven’t noticed!)

We didn’t really have any events this week. oh one would be that the power here in our area is literally goind down like every day!! We are out on the street working and all the power cuts out and it’s really hard to work because we can’t see!

Yeah it’s super sad that President Ayre is leaving!! Everyone in the mission is sad, but also happy about the new president! I think we have a last activity with President Ayre this week or the next, but I’m not sure. They usually tell us the day before because they don’t want us thinking about it all week, so I understand that!

Elder Howard has been on the mission for like 15 months now! So he has like half a year more than me. Oh and I get to see Elder Kelly like every week because all of us come write our families in the same place; and today we played soccer together and that was super fun! I like how we try to do a zone activity every week, it really brings unity to the zone and helps us get to know all the missionaries here!

The ward in Jose C Paz is really good. They really like the missionaries so that helps us out a lot. The only thing is that we have about 70 people at church every week and like 40 of them are "older" people, so it’s like, they are really nice it’s just kinda hard because they can’t really accompany us, but it’s alright, it’s a great ward I really like it here!

Something I want to share with everyone this week is a story that has really been on my mind these last days. My agenda this transfer talks about Mateo 14:24-33, and I studied that story this week and lots of insights from the Spirit came into my mind.

I want to invite everyone to read that story of when Jesus walks on the water. Something that it says is that Jesus came during the 4th watch (verse 25) the 4th watch, historically is the last watch of the night, from 3 to 6 am. If you think about it, the apostles were in the sea, in the winds and everything all night long and in the 4th watch, that’s when Jesus came. We can relate to in our lives. How when everything is going bad, we have temptations coming into our lives, we have "bad luck" all the time, nothing is going right. Jesus will always come in the end, after we have done everything we could. He will always be there to help us. I know that is true, I know that Jesus will always be there to help us, just that sometimes we need a trial of faith! (that’s another scripture but I don’t remember it right now ;)).

Something else that I was thinking about it is something that I want everyone to study and to think about. Read that same story, Mathew 14:24-33, and think about the story in this way: the ocean is the world; the winds, our temptations, bad habits, etc; the boat is the church, and we, the members, are all together in that boat. Just something to think about. :)

Olá!

Esta foi uma semana muito fria, o que honestamente, faz as coisas mais difíceis, mas isso não me pára nem um momento! Ainda acordamos na hora certa, nos exercitamos e fazemos tudo normal mesmo com todo este frio, então estou muito feliz! Estamos a trabalhar o melhor que pudermos, e podemos ver como o Senhor está nos abençoando a cada dia. Podemos ver Sua mão no nosso trabalho, só temos de continuar a trabalhar o melhor possível todos os dias! Wooooh !!! (Eu gosto de motivar a mim mesmo e outras pessoas se você já notou!)

Nós realmente não tivemos nenhum evento especial esta semana. Oh um seria que a força aqui na nossa área está literalmente acabando quase todos os dias!! `As vezes, estamos andando na rua trabalhando e de repente acaba a energia elétrica e dá um apagão e é realmente difícil de trabalhar porque não podemos enxergar nada!

Sim é super triste que o Presidente Ayre está nos deixando!! Todos na missão estão tristes, mas também felizes com o novo presidente! Eu acho que nós temos uma última atividade com o presidente Ayre esta semana ou na próxima, mas eu não tenho certeza. Eles costumam dizer-nos somente no dia anterior porque eles não nos querem pensando muito nisso durante toda a semana, então eu entendo isso!

Elder Howard já tem quase 15 meses na missão, quase meio ano mais do que eu. Ah, e eu consigo ver Elder Kelly toda semana porque todos nós sempre vimos nesse cyber escrever a nossas famílias na mesma hora e mesmo lugar; e hoje nós jogamos futebol juntos e foi super divertido! Eu gosto de como tentamos fazer uma atividade de zona a cada semana, isso realmente traz união para a zona e ajuda-nos a conhecer todos os missionários aqui!

A Ala em Jose C Paz é realmente boa. Eles realmente gostam dos missionários, o que nos ajuda muito. A única coisa é que temos cerca de 70 pessoas na igreja toda semana e umas 40 delas são "mais velhos", por isso é um bocado difícil, porque eles realmente não podem nos acompanhar, mas está tudo bem, é uma grande ala. Eu realmente gosto daqui!

Algo que eu quero compartilhar com todos esta semana é uma história que realmente tem estado em minha mente nestes últimos dias. Minha agenda esta transferência fala sobre Mateo 14: 24-33, e eu estudei a história esta semana e um monte de sussurros do Espírito vieram a minha mente.

Eu quero convidar a todos para que possam ler essa história de quando Jesus caminhou sobre as águas. Algo que ele diz é que Jesus veio durante o 4º quadrante (versículo 25), ou seja, a quarta parte da noite historicamente é a última vigília, de 3 às 6 da manhã. Se você pensar sobre isso, os apóstolos estavam no mar em meio aos ventos e tudo durante toda a noite e no último momento é quando Jesus veio. Podemos relacionar isso à nossas vidas. Como quando tudo está indo mal, temos tentações que entram em nossas vidas, temos "má sorte" o tempo todo, nada está dando certo. Jesus virá sempre no final, depois de termos feito tudo o que podíamos. Ele estará sempre lá para nos ajudar. Eu sei que isso é verdade, eu sei que Jesus estará sempre lá para nos ajudar, só que às vezes precisamos de uma prova de fé! (Isso é outra escritura, mas não me lembro-lo agora ;) ).

Outra coisa que eu estava pensando sobre isso é algo que eu quero que todos possam ponderar. Leia essa mesma história, Mateus 14: 24-33, e pense sobre a história desta forma: o oceano é o mundo; os ventos, nossas tentações, maus hábitos, etc; o barco é a igreja, e nós, os membros, estamos todos juntos no mesmo barco. Apenas algo para se pensar. :)
