This coming Sunday I will turn 20 and my teenage years are gone...
What a week we had. Lots of good and bad things happened,
like always, but then again nothing really big happened this week. Work wise it
was a solid work week where we got a lot of different things done. The only
thing was that literally no one was home this week! We got so many referrals
this week from members but when we passed by literally no one was home! It’s kind
of annoying sometimes when that happens just because we go into an area wanting
to contact people and no one is there. At least we can take advantage of that
and talk to their neighbors, right? jaja
Anyway, weather wise it just got super cold! I have no idea
why it’s been cold this week! Plus it started raining yesterday and hasn’t
stopped yet so that makes things complicated for us.
Companionship wise me and
my companion are doing great! We have become really good friends and we are
working better and better together.
We lost some investigators this week and we had some
setbacks with some but the good thing is that we found a family that we are
currently teaching, and this morning we went with them to go take out a date
for their marriage at the civil marriage place! Woooo! We’re going to marry la Familia
Pazzetti! Alejandro, who is the husband, he started working for a member so we talked
to him first, then we got the opportunity to meet his wife Carolina and she is
interested in the church too! So that was an amazing miracle we could see this
week! Miracles led up to today when we took up out their marriage date, because
they had lost their papers last week and they found them last night! Our
prayers were answered when we found out that they found their documents! I’m
super happy for them and I’m happy for their family as well!
P-day today is going to be a little complicated because it’s
raining and it’s going to rain all day, but we have plans to go and pretty much
just have a huge Ping-Pong tournament with the zone! So that’s going to be
great, I’m getting better and better at Ping-Pong too!

This week I want to talk about John 15:7. It says:
7 If
ye abide in me, and my words abide in you, ye shall ask what ye
will, and it shall be done unto you.
If we follow Christ, we will be blessed. We must study his
words and always keep the commandments! I was thinking about this scripture
this week because if we do what we are supposed to, si esta en acuerdo con lo que Dios quiere, it will be done. We
could see that this week when Alejandro and his wife found their papers. We
prayed with them and they searched everywhere, and yesterday they finally found
them. This also got me thinking about verse 15, because if we do our best for
the Lord, he will bless us more. In verse 15 it says:
15 Henceforth I
call you not servants; for the servant knoweth not what his Lord doeth: but I
have called you friends; for all things that I have heard of my
Father I have made known unto you.
This also makes me think of Joseph Smith and the Doctrine &
Covenants. If we notice it in Doctrine & Covenants, Jesus starts out by
calling Joseph Smith his servant. Then after time we see how the Lord starts
calling him His friend. I want to get to the point where Jesus will look at me
and think of me as His friend. If we keep the commandments, learn the Gospel
and its doctrine, and live it, he will see our desire. He sees it in our
actions! I want to show Him my love for Him through my actions every day, because
that’s what faith is. I want Jesus to see me as more than just His brother, but
His friend.
I know this church is true, that the commandments are there
to protect and guide us, and that when we walk in the way of the Lord, we will
always be blessed, but not always in the way we might think.

Este
domingo eu completarei 20 anos e os meus anos de adolescência se acabarão...
Que semana
tivemos. Muitas coisas boas e ruins aconteceram, como sempre, mas, novamente
nada realmente grande aconteceu esta semana.
Em relação
ao trabalho foi uma semana de trabalho sólido, onde fizemos muitas coisas
diferentes. A única coisa foi que, literalmente, ninguém estava em casa esta
semana! Tivemos tantas referências esta semana de membros, mas quando fomoas
aos endereços, literalmente, ninguém estava em casa! É triste quando isso
acontece apenas porque entramos em uma área e desejamos entrar em contato com
as pessoas e ninguém está lá. Pelo menos pudemos tirar proveito e falar com alguns
dos vizinhos, certo? jaja
De qualquer
forma, o clima ficou super frio! Eu não tenho ideia por que fez tanto frio esta
semana! Além disso, começou a chover ontem e ainda não parou de modo que torna
as coisas complicadas para nós. Eu e meu companheiro estamos muito bem! Nós nos
tornamos bons amigos e trabalhamos melhor e melhor em conjunto a cada dia.
Perdemos
alguns investigadores esta semana e tivemos alguns contratempos com alguns, mas
a coisa boa é que encontramos uma família que atualmente estamos ensinando, e
esta manhã nós fomos com eles reservar uma data para seu casamento no cartório
de casamento civil! Woooo! Nós vamos casar la Familia Pazzetti! Alejandro, que
é o marido, começou a trabalhar para um membro para e falamos com ele primeiro,
em seguida, tivemos a oportunidade de conhecer sua esposa Carolina e ela está
interessada na igreja também! Então isso foi um milagre incrível que pudemos
ver esta semana! Milagre até hoje quando assumiram a sua data de casamento,
porque tinham perdido seus documentos na semana passada e eles foram
encontrados na noite passada! Nossas preces foram atendidas quando descobrimos
que eles encontraram seus documentos! Estou super feliz por eles e estou feliz
por sua família também!
P-day hoje
vai ser um pouco complicado, porque está chovendo e vai chover durante todo o
dia, mas temos planos de ter um enorme torneio de pingue-pongue com a zona!
Então, isso vai ser ótimo, estou ficando melhor e melhor com o pingue-pongue
também!

Esta semana
eu quero falar sobre João 15: 7. Diz:
7 Se vós permanecerdes em mim, e as minhas
palavras permanecerem em vós, pedireis o que quiserdes, e vos será feito a ti.
Se
seguirmos Cristo, seremos abençoados. Devemos estudar suas palavras e sempre
manter os mandamentos! Eu estava pensando sobre esta escritura esta semana,
porque se nós fazemos o que é suposto, si
esta en acuerdo con lo que quiere Dios, isso será feito. Pudemos ver isso
acontecer esta semana, quando Alejandro e sua esposa encontraram seus papéis.
Oramos com eles e eles procuraram por toda parte, e ontem eles finalmente os encontraram.
Isso também me fez pensar sobre o versículo 15, porque se nós fazemos o nosso
melhor para o Senhor, ele nos abençoará mais. No versículo 15 diz:
15 Daqui em diante eu chamo você não de servos;
porque o servo não sabe tudo o que o seu Senhor faz; mas tenho-vos chamado
amigos; para todas as coisas que eu ouvi de meu Pai vos tenho dado a conhecer a
você.
Isso também
me fez pensar em Joseph Smith em Doutrina & Convênios. Se notarmos que em
Doutrina e Convênios, Jesus começa chamando Joseph Smith, seu servo. Em
seguida, após um tempo, vemos como o Senhor começa a chamá-lo de seu amigo. Eu
quero chegar ao ponto em que Jesus vai olhar para mim e pense em mim como seu
amigo. Se guardarmos os mandamentos, aprendermos o evangelho e sua doutrina, e a
vivermos, Ele vai ver o nosso desejo. Ele o vê em nossas ações! Eu quero
mostrar-lhe o meu amor por Ele através de minhas ações todos os dias, porque é
isso que é a fé. Quero que Jesus me veja mais do que apenas seu irmão, mas como
Seu amigo.
Eu sei que
esta igreja é verdadeira, que os mandamentos existem para nos proteger e nos guiar,
e quando andamos no caminho do Senhor, seremos sempre abençoados, mas nem
sempre da maneira que poderíamos pensar.
Quero
agradecer a todos por tudo! Obrigado a todos pelos desejos de aniversário!
