Calor!

Hello! Spring is here!

Now it´s crazy that I say that because this week it was super-hot and it’s not even summer yet... this year is working out to be a hotter year then the last, because the past couple days have been blazing hot! Other than that, it’s been a great week. (Well that’s what makes it a great week too, because I hate the cold).

My companion and I had a week were we talked to a lot of people, and we are going to keep talking to more and more because of the Church’s Christmas video! Has everyone seen that? That video is one of the best I’ve ever seen. I really love it and it’s really great to share with our investigators. I love the message of service it brings and the way that we can be more like Jesus. It’s one of my favorite Church videos! I even heard that here in Buenos Aires, the capital, there are buses with it on them. "Ilumina el mundo" (That’s how you say the #SejaaLuzdoMundo in Spanish).

It’s been great to see the progress of the Church while I’ve been here in Argentina. The Church really is working hard down here to help everyone out!

We have also been doing all we can here in Del Viso! We found out that 83 percent of the members on our lists are inactive so we are trying to work with the Rama so it can become a Ward! We are starting to work with the members a whole lot more now, which in turn is helping us gain their trust, so they want to help us out. Our current investigators are Rodrigo, Tomas, Enrique, Shisel, Estela, Ramon, and Christina y Daniel. We are really starting to receive more help from the members with them.

We have also seen many miracles of service here in Del Viso that have been helping us out. I have a testimony of service that it’s really the way we can become more like Jesus, because when we serve with a willing heart we develop so much love for those who we are serving, and that’s a Christ like love that helps us feel and have the Spirit more in our day-to-day lives. 

Yeah, it was super sad to hear about the airplane with the Brazilian team that fell in Colombia! I heard it the first day it happened... it’s really sad that that happened, but I hope everything is alright with their families and survivors, I hope they all find the missionaries there to teach them about eternal families!

Then the other ones are from this Zone meeting we had this week with other Zones! I met some old friends!

Pics 5 and 6 - This is me with Elder Fleming, one of my best companions! We worked so well and hard together, and this week he went home! He finished the mission... that’s crazy... but yeah, a picture of us together then one of us with Hemana Cueva and Hermana Aliaga. They are really good friends of Elder Fleming and I! It’s crazy because the day we took these pictures, which was the day of the Zone Conference, that same night Elder Fleming flew home!

Olá! A Primavera está aqui!

Foi uma loucura. Eu digo isso porque esta semana foi super-quente e nem sequer é verão ainda... este ano está bem mais quente que o ano passado,  porque os últimos dois dias têm sido uma ardência fervente! Fora isso, foi uma ótima semana. (Bem, o calor ajudou a tornar essa semana ótima também, porque eu odeio o frio).

Meu companheiro e eu tivemos uma semana em que conversamos com muitas pessoas, e vamos continuar conversando com mais e mais principalmente por causa do vídeo de Natal da Igreja! Todos viram esse vídeo? Esse vídeo é um dos melhores que já vi. Eu realmente amo e é realmente ótimo para compartilhar com nossos investigadores. Eu amo a mensagem de serviço que ele traz e a maneira que nós podemos ser mais como Jesus Cristo. Já é um dos meus vídeos favoritos da Igreja! Ouvi dizer que na capital Buenos Aires há ônibus com a mensagem "Ilumina el mundo" (É assim que se diz o #LighttheWorld em espanhol).

É ótimo ver o progresso da Igreja enquanto estou aqui na Argentina. A Igreja realmente está trabalhando duro aqui para ajudar a todos!

Nós também temos feito tudo o que podemos aqui em Del Viso! Descobrimos que 83 por cento dos membros em nossas listas estão inativos, então estamos tentando trabalhar com o Rama para que ele possa se tornar um Ward! Estamos começando a trabalhar com os membros muito mais agora, o que por sua vez está nos ajudando a ganhar sua confiança, então eles querem nos ajudar. Nossos pesquisadores atuais são Rodrigo, Tomas, Enrique, Shisel, Estela, Ramon e Christina y Daniel. Estamos realmente começando a receber mais ajuda dos membros com eles.

Nós também vimos muitos milagres de serviço aqui em Del Viso que têm nos ajudado. Tenho um testemunho de serviço que é realmente a maneira como podemos nos tornar mais como Jesus Cristo, porque quando servimos com um coração disposto desenvolvemos tanto amor por aqueles a quem estamos servindo, e isso é nos faz sentir o amor de Cristo e nos ajuda a sentir e ter o Espírito mais no nosso dia-a-dia.

Sim, foi super triste ouvir sobre o avião com a equipe de futebol brasileira que caiu na Colômbia! Eu ouvi isso no primeiro dia em que aconteceu... é realmente triste que isso aconteceu, mas espero que tudo esteja bem com suas famílias e sobreviventes, e espero que todos encontrem os missionários lá para ensiná-los sobre famílias eternas!

Fotos 1 a 4 - Uma parte realmente estranha da nossa área que encontramos... todas as árvores têm esta linha branca pintada sobre elas ... é ao lado de um lugar de macumbeiros então vai saber se tem algo a ver com isso! Jaja

Então as outras são de uma reunião de Zona que tivemos esta semana com outras Zonas! Eu encontrei alguns velhos amigos!

Fotos 5 e 6 – A primeira sou eu com o Élder Fleming, um dos meus melhores companheiros! Nós trabalhamos tão bem e tão duro juntos, e esta semana ele foi para casa! Ele terminou a missão ... isso é loucura ... mas sim, uma foto de nós juntos, e então uma de nós com Sister Cueva e Sister Aliaga, duas boas amigas com Élder Fleming e eu! É uma loucura porque no dia em que tiramos essas fotos, que foi o dia da Conferência de Zona, naquela mesma noite o Élder Fleming voou para casa!
